We would like to express our gratitude to Barrie Padgham for his gift to our farm...the fancy Half Arabian Khadraj mare, Delightful PGA. This mare has a spot already in the broodmare band...she is being bred to c Our Zeus for an exciting 2010 foal. Words cannot express how humbled we are to be able to care for and accept this mare into our hearts and lives. Thank you, Barrie. We will do right by her.

Our heartfelt thanks also goes out to our little superstar, Cassondra Kurenov and STLA Born Dancin! They lit up the show arena at the Arabian Classic Show on the May 2009 weekend! The pair created a bit of a buzz; many comments from respected trainers of the abilities of these two...what a sight...what a delight...what a weekend! It was a highlight in our STLA career, for sure! Thank you, Cassondra and her wonderful family, for the support of our program, for the love towards our horses, and for your unbridled energy and enthusiasm you dedicate. We are so very grateful and thankful you have come into our lives.

Our third highly anticipated arrival was meant for a higher purpose.  On the early morning of April 18th, he was seconded to be an angel with Annie’s precious filly; to watch out over the rest of the STLA herd and keep us safe.  Thank you, Heartzie, for allowing your beautiful colt to soar above and meet Our Maker.  He will no doubt be shining bright as a super”star”.  We will never forget you.

Some wounds cannot be healed quickly. They must be given time. In the meantime, we can appreciate the new capabilities we are developing, such as the capacity to mourn and the willingness to accept. Let us share our losses and triumphs with each other, for that is how we gather courage.

A difficult time, also, for someone dear to us; our thoughts and prayers are with you, Dr. Juan Samper, during this time.  You deserve the BEST because you are the BEST.

2007 has been an incredibly busy and productive year. The back 10 acres have been fenced and we are THRILLED to have many green pastures for our precious horses to run as God intended them! We are proud of this alone!

We are oh-so thrilled with the successes of our previous “STLA” members. They have accumulated more wins and accolades then we could have ever imagined. Our firstborn (STLA Bey Shahzzam aka Sammy) was Top 10 (unanimous 3rd) at the Canadian Nationals in his Futurity, and Top 10 (3rd overall—1st on one card) in his Open halter. Our beautiful STLA Fondallionce was Champion Region 17 Sweepstakes filly, Top 5 at Region 5, and Champion Western Canadian Breeder’s HA Filly and Champion Futurity Filly! What a year…amazing, thrilling and very impressive!

Color Me FameOus LRA’s new owner, Kineesha, is going great guns with her new mount. She looks so good aboard, and she is enjoying her little Zeus filly, KO Can’t Touch This, aka “Boots”. Cute, cute filly, and extremely intelligent. She will keep Kineesha on her toes! Their recent purchase from us of SCFortune Cookie, and her foal by Flash has proven to be a valuable! What a gorgeous little pinto colt; loooonnng legs and extremely typey head! They are hoping to take him on the trip to Scottsdale this coming Spring! Big plans they have; we LOVE it.

We are astounded at the dedication of everyone with their horses. Brenda Driediger stands out when we voice this, as she is an incredibly talented, dedicated and gifted individual when it comes to the equine world. She is certainly someone I would love to be able to spend more time with “picking her brain”. This talent needs to be shared, Miss Brenda!

The most comforting part of our “job” with our horses is seeing the outstanding homes they are going to! This again is evident with STLA Bey Shahzzam aka “Sammy” with the Frew’s, Color Me FameOus LRA aka “Flash” with the Steunenberg’s, STLA Fondallionce aka “Fancy” with the Miller’s, STLA Priceless Fortune aka “Tiffany” with the Cooper’s, SCFortune Cookie aka “Cookie”, and Baloo Berry Hill aka “Gonzo” with Candice Price. They are some lucky horses to be so loved and cherished.

We have an extremely busy spring coming up! We are expecting many quality foals by stallions we never imagined being able to produce with…

We are in awe of all you do, how you do it, and ALWAYS getting it done. It helps us challenge ourselves to be the best at what we believe in. We are grateful from the bottom of our hearts.

On that note, we are again ecstatic to announce the positive pregnancy checks on our first two breedings this season; Our precious MA Hearts A Fire is INDEED in foal to Mariachi WA!!! And our equally precious AB Fahrenheit is also carrying a little The Color of Fame progeny! Rah, rah, rah; Gooooo TEAM!

Congratulations to a previous STLA member, Color Me FameOus LRA (aka “Flash”), Kineesha, Daniel & Brenda, and Excelsior Stables, for their success at his first show under saddle.  “Flash” took home the Champion Half Arabian Hunter Pleasure Junior Horseaward.  What an accolade for any young horse (with about 90 days under saddle!)  This is just the beginning for this stunning young boy.

Congratulations to another previous STLA member, STLA Bey Shahzzam (aka “Sammy”), and his owner, Leah (and Dawn & Roger), for their Champion Half Arabian Gelding Open (he’s only 3!!!) at the same show!  We knew you could do it, Leah; we certainly wouldn’t know (if we didn’t know) you weren’t a “pro”!!!

Congratulations to yet one more previous STLA member, Baloo Berry Hill (aka “Gonzo”), and Candice, for his success at his first show, also!  He was STUNNING and was such a well-behaved boy!
